To reach Phuket from Bangkok the two most feasible options are, by air which will take you an hour and by road. Airlines operate flight to Phuket from both Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueng. By road, you could take a bus which could take you up to 11-12 hrs, i.e. overnight. Bus to Phuket leaves from 2 bus terminal which are Talingchan Southern Bus Terminal and Mochit Bus Terminal.
Cash is king around the world. To cover your ass in an emergency, make sure to stash some in a few different places. I recommend at least a couple hundred dollars worth. If you lose your wallet, your card stops working, or the ATMs run out of money, you’ll be glad you did. Use GST registration for tax related issues.
