The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai will organise Cultural Commemorative Event: “Namaste Thailand in Mumbai” between 10-12 March 2017, 16.00 hrs. at Garden lawn, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya to mark the Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and India.
The 3-day event will feature a number of traditional Thai cultural performances, including Khon Masked Dance, Shadow Puppet Show, Dance of Thai-India Friendship, as well as Thai Martial Arts by professional artists from Thailand, this will provide a unique opportunity for all interested audiences to experience Thai culture and arts and learn more about the country right here in Mumbai.
The Opening Ceremony on Friday, 10 March 2017 will be presided by H.E. Mr.Vira Rojpojchanarat, Minister of Culture of Thailand with the presence of High Authority of Maharashtra as the Chief Guest. Invitees include the consular corps, local authorities, friends of Thailand, and representatives from both public and private sectors. The media are invited to also join, publicize and make coverage of this auspicious occasion.
The event is open to all public for exhibitions and cultural performances on Saturday, 11 and Sunday, 12 March 2017 between 16.30-18.00 hrs. Attendance will be free of charge.
