TAT launched “Thailand Tourism Virtual Market”, the first-ever online B2B networking platform!

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) launched its first “Thailand Tourism Virtual Market”, a new online travel trade networking platform for all Thai sellers to connect to the world’s travel industry. The website is now open for Thai tourism operators (sellers) to register, provide
profiles and create proposals for business negotiations. The features are being enhanced to include business negotiation functions; such as, demand
matching, proposal submission system and chat box.

TAT Governor said “The COVID-19 pandemic has had a deep and widespread impact right across the travel and tourism industry and the global economy. The way travel and trade doing business is being changed right now, TAT is moving to support our private sector businesses are ready for the new ways of doing business that will emerge. Clearly, virtual meetings are one of those.

Furthermore, Thailand’s annual flagship travel show, the Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+), was cancelled this year. As such, TAT has initiated the Thailand Tourism Virtual Market to be an innovative solution B2B online marketing platform for Thai tourism operators.

“We see it having as many advantages; such as, being open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year with no limitation on the number of sellers and buyers. It will also reduce travel expenses and allow business to be conducted without the risk of uncontrollable external events. It can also be a useful platform for monitoring trends, research and statistics, especially the usage of Big Data for growing and tapping new sources of business,”
